Job Summary | The Project Manager, Transit Speed and Reliability works in close coordination with the Austin Transportation Department and other entities to plan, design and advance to implementation a wide range of projects and programs to maintain and improve transit speed and reliability. |
Primary Responsibilities | • Work closely with Austin Transportation Department staff to plan, design and develop transit speed and reliability projects and programs, including but not limited to queue jumps, transit signal priority, bus stop placement optimization, level or near-level boarding, off-board fare collection, transit priority lanes, dedicated bus lanes and running ways. |
Minimum Qualifications-Education and Experience | • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Government, Engineering, Planning, Public Relations or related field. Master’s degree in Transportation Planning or Engineering preferred. Related experience may substitute for educational requirements on a year for year basis up to four (4) years. |
Minimum Qualifications-Knowledge, Skills and Abilities | • Expert ability to research, evaluate and interpret complex information. |
